It can be a little exhausting to still see Christians using other versions of the Bible. It seems to me that truth should be an essential priority. Making sure that what we believe is absolute is something that should drive every Christian. Yet a lot of them just seem to nonchalantly dismiss this topic. They’ve bought into the philosophy of “whatever is easy and convenient for me.” But that is counter-productive to truth.

The research is there ( The Answer Book, Scriptural Evidence For the KJV Only, Summary of the Issue - KJV vs. Others, KJV, THE Holy Bible, ) to overwhelmingly show that the KJV IS the real, pure and Holy Bible. All others are not. Simply studying this subject out and using your Spirit given discernment should lead all born again believers to use the KJV exclusively. But yet they don’t. Why? I am left to assume that most don’t take the time to study this out. And that is a tremendous tragedy. The Lord said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hos. 4:6)
This lazy, do what thou wilt attitude, has allowed false teaching (leaven) to enter the church. And like leaven does, it spreads to taint EVERYTHING. A little leaven leavens the whole lump (Gal. 5:9). Allowing this seemingly “trivial” error into the church affects EVERYTHING. It affects the way a believer views every single topic and it gives them a skewed view.

I have exhausted myself trying to point this out to others. Every English Bible, except the KJV, is translated from FALSE MANUSCRIPTS! That means they are NOT the living and pure Word of God. It matters not whether the Bible is translated using a word-for-word method, or a thought-for-thought method. They start with the wrong manuscripts, and therefore whatever method they use is going to be wrong.
There is VITAL importance in EVERY SINGLE LETTER of the Bible. Jesus said that man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY Word of God (Matt. 4:4). Our spirit is FED by every Word of God (John 6:53-63). Missing Words is missing food. Added Words is like adding preservatives and chemicals and can lead to health hazards. The WRONG Words is like eating genetically modified food or non-edible materials. Or worse yet, poison.
The importance of every letter is spelled out clearly in the Scriptures. Jesus said not ONE jot or tittle shall pass (Matt. 5:18). The smallest Hebrew literary characters are kept by God. Also, in Galatians, Paul emphasized the importance of one letter when he pointed out that the promises were to Abraham’s SEED and not SEEDS (Gal. 3:16). One letter, the letter ‘s’, was of vital importance (by the way, newer Bible versions [Amplified; ESV; The Living; NASB; NIV; NRSV; RSV] have changed that prophecy in Genesis 12:7 and thereby destroyed Paul’s whole argument!).
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY Word of God.

I am going to lay out two crude analogies to try to emphasize this point. Let’s pretend that I have the ability to speak LIVING Words. For the Scriptures say that the Word of God is living (Heb. 4:12). Before getting to my analogy, let’s think about that. What does it mean to say that the Words are living?
It means that they respond to the spiritual man/woman. It means that as we read them, they read us and give us insights into our own hearts. They communicate to us the will of God in our lives. Not just in general broad strokes, but in specific and detailed scrutiny. Every situation we are in, because the Word is alive, It has the ability to respond to us and show us depths. The Holy Spirit in us is able to communicate to us through the Word. That is what it is like during the moments when a person is born again. The Words, “Repent ye and believe the Gospel, (Mark 1:15)” can be spoken, and the person who is called by God not only hears those Words, but they hear the voice of the Shepherd calling out to them IN the Words, saying, “Come to Me.”
So, back to the analogy. Let’s say my words are living, and I say, “The dog went to the store.” In basic grammar, this is a straight forward statement that is easily understood. But along comes one of my children, feeling lonely and desperate and reads the sentence. My spirit in him, says, “See son, a puppy is an affectionate and needy animal. And a store provides a place FULL of people and companionship. When that puppy is down, he seeks out companionship at a place he knows he will find it. You too son, should seek out companionship and fellowship.”
My living Word was able to minister to him. Now, let’s say that another one of my children comes along and reads that sentence, and he too is lonely, but has different understanding and life experiences. My Living Word would know this, and so my spirit in him says, “Son, a guard dog becomes very familiar with his place of work. If he ever becomes lost he will find his way back to what is familiar. You too son need to do what is familiar. Involve yourself in your workplace and your coworkers.”
The point is, with a Living Word, and the AUTHOR of those Words living in us, we are able to hear different layers and depths behind every single jot and tittle.
The point is, with a Living Word, and the AUTHOR of those Words living in us, we are able to hear different layers and depths behind every single jot and tittle.
But let’s say that the first individual says, “OH, that sentence is so much clearer with the insight given to me. I am going to write a new version with the added depth.” Then, guy number 2 has been taught that "all the versions are basically the same" and comes and picks up version 2, written by the first guy. He comes to the sentence about the dog and the new version says, “The puppy, who was lonely and seeking companionship, went to the local market to surround himself with friendly faces.” The second guy is not going to hear what he needs to hear in that. It’s going to be much harder for the Spirit to convey a message of a guard dog returning to his work place with that new version.

Or let’s try this analogy. Every Word of God is like a piece of a giant three dimensional puzzle that reveals the Image of Jesus Christ. Each piece gives a unique view of the Lord. As the Spirit ministers to us through the Word, He will occasionally open up our understanding to a verse and show us a clearer picture of Jesus Christ. With that SAME VERSE, he can show us a “different angle.”
The Spirit can take us into the Word, and at first glance show us the puzzle piece straight on. And we are amazed by its glory! Then He says, “Look at it from the side,” and shows us a new aspect, and again we are blown away by the glory! Then He can show us a different angle. And another, and another, and another, and another. An endless gold mine of glory in each puzzle piece!
But let’s say someone comes along, and after being shown a new angle, takes it upon themselves to take a “snap shot” of that angle and create a “new” puzzle piece with just that angle. Now that the piece has been locked into that one view, there is no opportunity to show the glory of the others. So it is with Scripture.
If someone is shown insight and depth into a verse, and decides that that is the correct interpretation of the verse, and writes a “new” Bible version with that interpretation, the insight is locked in. It becomes much more difficult to hear the other insights the Spirit may have. The writer thinks that they are giving a “purer” understanding, or an “amplified” depth, but they are really HINDERING the work of the Spirit. It is why we are warned THREE TIMES not to add or take away from the Scriptures (Pro. 30:6; Deut. 4:2; Rev. 22:19). God's Spirit will do the teaching. We don't need men to explain the Scriptures to us. That is the Holy Spirit's job. (1st John 2:27)
God says that His Word is PURE (Pro. 30:5; Ps. 12:6; etc.). That means perfect. Any deviation from perfection is only going to produce something LESS than perfection. And God said that HE would preserve His Word (Ps. 12:7). God does not lie (Tit. 1:2; Num. 23:19). Nothing has been lost. HE HAS preserved His PURE Word. And in English, it’s found in the KJV.
When someone adds their insights (in a dynamic equivalent version) they are killing the living Word and instead giving us a “statue” of the Word. A one dimensional view that is either in error, or was meant to be taught at THAT time for THAT individual. And while God may show us the same thing in that Word, it is foolish to limit the teaching of the Spirit to that ONE insight.
When someone changes the Words, they are replacing the “puzzle pieces” with pieces from a different puzzle. The image of that puzzle is one of satan. For if it is not the pure Word of God, it is counterfeit and must come from satan. So the doctrines of the devil get mixed in with the Doctrine of God and we mistakenly think we are looking at Jesus Christ! When a piece is removed or added, the image is again altered.
There are enough pieces in the other versions for God to still work through them, but they are tainted with luciferic ideas and singular interpretations that hinder the living Word. Even if the other versions translated from the CORRECT manuscripts (which they do not and therefore are disqualified from the very start), if they did not do a WORD FOR WORD method, we would be left with a non-living Word.
God’s people perish for a lack of knowledge. Not understanding the grave consequences of using perverted versions is leading to leaven spreading ALL OVER the church. Read His LIVING and PRESERVED and PURE Word, the KJV.
